The Story of 8 year old Vinnie and his wish to have a pool in his backyard....
"Vinnie was born at 30 weeks weighing just about 3lbs. At 2 weeks old he had a stroke and a severe seizure at 3 years old. Vinnie has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism and ADHD. Vinnie is a happy boy, always smiling! Vinnie works extremely hard, going to school from 9am-3pm everyday and then having in home ABA Therapy 6 nights a week from 3:30-8:30pm. During Therapy, Vinnie gets breaks where he likes to go right out to is backyard. In fact, this is also the first place he goes when he gets home from school! Vinnie likes to roam, so the backyard gives him the space to do that and get out of the house. Since Vinnie is non-verbal, he has few social interactions and no friends, spending most of his free time alone. His backyard is his Sanctuary.”
